Efficient and sustainable transportation and logistics are an integral part of our supply chain. This applies to upstream, from farmer to the factory, as well as downstream transportation, from our factories to cold stores and onwards to our customers in over 100 countries.

Our transportation and logistics activities require a considerable amount of energy and resources, as the potato products are transported by road and short sea across Europe and exported worldwide by deep sea. In Europe, including the United Kingdom as one of our key markets, we organised the equivalent of over 51,000 downstream transport movements to deliver to our customers, over an average distance of 800 kilometres. In deep sea, more than 4,500 containers were transported over an average of 14,500 kilometres.
