Bidvest Chile is a subsidiary of Bidvest International, a South African company listed in the JSE (Johannesburg Stock Exchange) and the second largest Food Service distributor in the world.

Since 2012 Bidvest has landed in Chile through an acquisition strategy buying two local distributors. ‘As a full Foodservice distributor we are able to deliver products in three different temperatures: dry, chilled and frozen from the same truck’, says Gabriel Abramovicz, Executive Director of Bidvest.

‘French fries is one of our largest product categories. On a daily basis Bidvest distributes in Chile more than 21 tons French fries, supplying customers varying from restaurants to large quick service food chains. Chile is a long and narrow country in South America. Therefore our fleet of fifty trucks covers more than 2, 000 km every day and is able to deliver all our clients in an efficient way.’
