Urban Fries with Creamy Za’atar Dip
This Urban Fries dish offers the perfect balance between crispy texture and aromatic depth. A quick-prep option that’s ideal for chefs wanting to bring street food to the plate with minimal effort.
This is what you need for two people:
300 g Urban Fries
200 g full-fat Greek yoghurt (or a plant-based alternative)
1–2 tbsp za’atar (to taste)
1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
1 garlic clove, finely grated or crushed
1 tbsp lemon juice
Pinch of salt
Finely chopped fresh mint or parsley
This is how you prepare your dish:
In a bowl, combine the yoghurt, garlic, lemon juice, and salt.
Stir in half the za’atar and ½ tablespoon of olive oil.
Cover and refrigerate the dip for at least 10 minutes to allow the flavours to develop.
Meanwhile, fry the Urban Fries according to the on-pack instructions.
Just before serving, top the dip with the remaining za’atar, the rest of the olive oil, and a sprinkle of the chopped herbs.
This dish works beautifully as a side or sharable plate.
