Farm Frites expands: new French fry plant in Saudi Arabia

Farm Frites and Americana: shaping growth together

Farm Frites, in partnership with Americana Foods, is investing in a state-of-the-art greenfield frozen french fries factory in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Scheduled to open in early 2026, the facility in Sudair Industrial and Business City, Riyadh, will produce a variety of frozen french fries and specialty potato products, with an initial capacity of 75,000 tonnes annually.

In developing this production location, we are committed to leveraging the latest technologies and energy-efficient processes to ensure operations are both efficient and sustainable.

This initiative is the second joint venture between the two companies, building on a successful 30-year partnership in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. The new facility will support the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s #Vision2030 by boosting local production, strengthening food security, and enhancing the entire value chain - from farming and production to distribution and serving customers.

Groundbreaking ceremony

To celebrate this significant milestone, we hosted a groundbreaking ceremony in Sudair Industrial and Business City on 25 November 2024, in the presence of key government, institutional and strategic partners, local potato growers, and valued global, regional, and local customers, to mark the start of the plant’s construction.

We look forward to the day the first fries are produced in our new factory and the journey ahead!
